I’ve been in Vancouver since early Feb setting my new business up, meeting new people, catching up with old friends and getting to know the Van photography community out here which is pretty epic.
Its been an amazing experience and although I go back in a few weeks to start my wedding season proper in London, I’m really looking forward to being back here later in the summer in my new home, Vancouver.
Here are some thoughts based on some photos I took with my iPhone and processed with the Instagram iphone app.

The flight over the rocky mountains in Canada just before hitting Vancouver is pretty frickin’ spectacular!
Signing up for a Vancouver Whitecaps season ticket is quite tempting. I just may do it. Oh and Okanagan Spring 1516 is one of my favourite beers here!
I was staying off this road in the middle photo when I arrived, in West Van.
Lighthouse park is the area in the first image and some crazy kids I got to hang with when in Calgary briefly.
Ahh Vegas. I went for a photography convention called WPPI. Got my learn on and partied. Here are some of my friends. John Bello (left) and Michael Wachniak (middle) and me!
I met and hung out Edmund Prieto and Daniel Cruz of Southern California. Nirav, one of my fav photographers on the planet took my portraits for my website and then me with John Bello, Erik Clausen aka Poser (this guy has inspired me beyond belief) and Bradford Marten. All top class fellas!
Yep, its Mike and John again, my Vancouver / Vegas homeboys. We got our geek on at the MGM. I ran into Zach and Jody inside the MGM too. Again top educators and photographers!
One thing I’ve dreamed of doing was shooting in the desert. I got to do that twice in one day.
One session for my ‘brother from another mother’ Nate and his beautiful wife Luisa.
And a bridal session too with an LA model called Nicole. It. Was. Good.

Ahh Arsenal, I love thee. Yep, that’s an iphone shot of the score I read on my phone in the morning. I take photos of these things .. this was an epic win!
I then shot a wedding the following weekend with my friend Fran Chelico. She’s also super bad ass. I got suited and booted for the occasion.
I’m working my butt off to try and make it in Vancouver. These words keep me in my place.
I love this city. Taking the Seabus daily is a beautiful thing. I now stay in North Van.
I ate South Indian food, drank out of a mason jar and ate some jelly.
My city of dreams.
I eat sushi twice a week… nom nom nom.
More getting my geek on .. Oh and I’ve been going to some meetup groups in a bid to meet new people and make new friends :)
