Having started a blog, I’m interested more and more in Social Media. I went in April with Monkey Cage to the Social Media UK meeting – ‘Social Media Monday’ organised by Barry Furby.
The guest speaker for the night was Charlie Osmond, Director of Fresh Networks, a leading Social Media Agency and CEO of Fresh Minds.
Some of the things I learnt from the evening that might be of interest to anyone else within Social Media and blogging:
- Passion : If you have a passion, start a blog and share knowledge
- Converse : Drive people back to your site by taking part in other conversations
- Engage : Continue relationships with your customers after a comment/posting has been made
- Revisit: Thinking about what brings you to other bloggers sites and what you need to do to bring them to yours
